This Prime-Line GD 12226 Garage Door Torsion Spring includes a stationary cone and a winding cone attached to opposite ends of the spring. These types of torsion garage springs replacement provide lifting force for heavy garage doors and must be selected by the spring's dimensions, rather than the door's weight. See the Product specifications found in Prime-Line's Torsion Spring Selection Guide to assure that the proper replacement spring has been selected. Constructed of steel and finished in black with a blue painted end, this is a regular-duty garage spring with an estimated lifetime rating of 10,000 cycles. Right hand wind springs are mounted to the left of center (as viewed from the inside the garage looking out). When dual spring installations are involved, it is important to replace both springs. This replacement garage spring can cause serious injury if not handled and installed properly. The spring has a 0.218 inch wire size x 1-3/4 inch inside diameter x 20 inch overall length.
