This straight-backed weather-stripping is constructed of 5/32 inch (0.160) tall fibers and comes gray in color. This weatherseal weatherization product is designed to resist air, water, sound, mold, mildew, dust and insects from entering into the home. This item can be used on virtually every door and window in a residence to improve the energy efficiency of the home by sealing the gaps and leaks around the doors and windows which allow outside air to enter, and inside conditioned air to escape. This pile weatherstrip comes in 18 ft. lengths, and it will not break down like other felt and foam tape weatherseal products. NOTE: THIS ITEM DOES NOT HAVE AN ADHESIVE BACKING and must install into an existing weather-strip channel. Installation Tip: Simply cut through the length and center of the old pile backer with a utility knife and pull it out.
