The Prevue Pet Products Stainless-Steel Playtop Bird Cage is a rust-resistant, all stainless-steel bird cage stand with bird play area. All Prevue cages undergo independent lab testing to conform to the highest levels of pet safety. - A: We do use stainless 201 which is what we believe the best for this model of bird cage and most safe for birds. In addition, Stainless steel grades 304 and 316 have high amounts of nickel and chromium which are likely not pet safe and are most commonly used for Commercial food grade equipment and appliances which are exposed to high heat. - A: Hello, According to the vendor, Item 3453 (Stainless Steel Playtop Home) is designed for medium to large size birds. These birds measure from 13" to 18" from beak to tail for a medium size bird and 18" to 24" from beak to tail for a large size bird. The green cheek conure is considered a medium size bird. Item 3453 does have a wire spacing of 3/4". The wire spacing recommendation for a green cheek conure is from 5/8" to 3/4" for a larger size conure. Cage was reasonably priced and my bird loves it. Slightly hard to clean depending on where your bird hangs out at and goes poo. Small dent in one of pans upon arrival but would still buy again. I currently have 3 of this cage and will be purchasing 1 more to have all my birds switched over to stainless steel cages.

I was looking for a stainless steel bird cage for my blue front amazon. She had a bigger aluminum one but wanted something smaller as she only uses her cage to sleep. Playtop was a must!. Nice cage, secure with nice locking mechanisms, no plastic parts including bowls. ONLY issue is no seed guard (for me, its a poo guard). I never noticed until it was all put together and doubled checked the box and then looked it up online and sure enough, no side guards! WHY NOT? My bird lives outside of her cage and poos off the side of her cage so now it lands on the floor (yuck). Only complaint. Would be too small for all day living for an amazon or similar sized bird. Easy to assemble and looks good and sturdy. Price is best I found too. Ship to store for free shopping and guys loaded for me!
