With a classic aesthetic, the Pleasant Hearth Ascot Collection Fireplace Glass Door is a great way to add style, safety, and efficiency to your indoor, wood-burning, traditional masonry fireplace hearth. Made of cold rolled steel and boasting a durable, black, powder-coated finish, the set is easy to install and can be operated by a single person with ease. Whether you're enjoying a calming fire or waiting for the right time to light one, impress your friends and family with lovely new glass doors for your indoor fireplace. All Pleasant Hearth Fireplace Glass Door sets are designed for masonry fireplaces only and are not for prefabricated fireplaces or metal fireboxes. See our Sizing Guide for more details. When it's time to unwind and relax at the end of the day, the doors open completely for a full view of the fireplace. The track-free, compact, glass bifold doors have 3/16-in tempered and clear glass that takes up less space against the fireplace wall when open. The doors fold together in a low profile position, so there's less chance of having to move items from your hearth to open the doors. The glass door handles are easy to grip and provide a nice, smooth feel as you open the doors. Always keep glass doors open and mesh panels closed when using the fireplace. The rigid mesh firescreen panels behind the doors prevent sparks, embers, and debris from leaving the hearth. When not in use, keep your fireplace doors and mesh panels closed with easy-catch magnets to reduce heat and AC air loss through the chimney by up to 90% to save energy year-round. Closed fireplace glass door sets also prevent cold chimney downdrafts from entering your home and keep pets and children out of fireplace soot. Installing new fireplace glass doors can transform your room's look and feel, all with the tools in your toolbox. The 43.50-in L x 1-in W x 31.00-in H set is surface mounted flat against the fire place opening. Pleasant Hearth has guided instructions on how to install your new fireplace glass doors in both the Product Manual and Installation Video.

Q: Can I close doors while fire is burning? I am looking for one that I can close glass doors while fire burns with screen
6 months ago- A: Hello, thank you for your question. The manufacturer recommends that you always keep glass doors open and mesh panels closed when using the fireplace.6 months agoHelpful?
Q: Do tge doors mountto the interior walls of the fireplace. My fireplace box is up 6 inches from the floor. Will i be able to mount the doors to tge fireplace if the doors can not rest on tge floor?
2 years ago- A: Hello Joe A. our fireplace glass door sets cannot hang from an elevated opening. The weight of the door must be supported from beneath, so it must rest on the bottom of the hearth. The brackets that come in the hardware pack are not made to hold the weight of the door sets; they are made to keep the doors from falling forward. Should you need any additional information, please feel free to give us a call at 877-447-4768 or email at [email protected]. Thank you! - GHP Group2 years agoHelpful?
Q: Can we use this fireplace door on a raised firebox?
4 years ago- A: The fire place glass door comes with a 2” riser bar to accommodate for a slightly elevated fire box. Anything higher than that the glass door would not work.4 years agoHelpful?
Q: Will the screen open and close in a arched fireplace opening 28.5 center height 20.5 side height 40.25 width
5 years ago- A: Arches are tricky. Look at the minimum dimensions of any unit you're considering. If you cut a rectangle in cardboard at the min width and height, will it fit within the opening? At the max dimensions, will it cover all the edges? Quick disclaimer before I get into specifics: check all my numbers - I'm just reading the specs like you, and doing quick mental math. But I have experience in fitting fireplace products. It looks like this unit in the medium size is max 43" w x 32 1/2 high, so you're good there - it would cover. Min is 36" w x 25 1/2" high, so it depends. Will a 36" wide rectangle have 25 1/2" of height clearance at the edges? Your 40 1/4" width - 36" min = 4 1/4" difference. So when you center the doors, you'll have half of that difference on each side - so 2 1/8" inset on each side before the arch has to be up to 25 1/2" heigh. So probably not. I'd have to sketch it out to scale to tell, but that's a steep slope. Anyway that's how you can check any unit you find. See if a rectangle cut to the min dimensions will fit inside, and one cut to the max dimensions will cover everything. You may find it difficult to find something stock that fits. Workarounds: -Find one small enough to fit the min, and have a metal fabricator cut you a backplate that covers your opening but leaves a big enough hole for your new doors. In effect, this enlarges the max size of your door unit. -Or, re-tile the fireplace and bring in the sides and/or cover up the top of the arch, so you have dimensions you can work with. In other words, bring your fireplace opening to within the max dimension of a small door set. It's an easy DIY job, but make sure you pick a unit first so you can reface to dimensions that work with existing products.5 years agoHelpful?
Q: How do the screens work? Are they attached to the doors or do they fold separately? Are they bifold like the doors? In other words, are the screens in front of the fire or can they be moved?
5 years ago- A: Yes the Screens are Located in Front of he Fire as well as Glass Doors But they Cannot be Removed Its all One Working Unit5 years agoHelpful?
