The Pirtle Nursery 2.5 qt. Brightwell Blueberry Shrub in #1 Pot produces an abundance of large, blue-black fruits with excellent flavor over a long season. As one of the rabbiteye varieties, these blueberries are perfect for eating fresh, cooking or freezing. These small shrubs look lovely in landscapes, with leaves that turn bright red in fall. The Brightwell Blueberry requires organic, acid (sour) soil. The shrub typically produces ripe fruit quickly, with ripe berries 2 months after you notice the flowers on branches.   • Brightwell Blueberry matures in early summer

Well packaged for shipping

The blueberry bush was packaged perfectly, no damage to the plant whatsoever, which was a concern for me considering I’ve never ordered a plant this big that required shipping. I planted it next to a Tift Blue Blueberry for pollination and it’s already beginning to get new leaves. I’m so excited! I love blueberries. Can’t wait for the picking.

Poor quality

I ordered this shipped to my closest Tractor Supply. I thought it would be sent from a store about 45 minutes away where it was in stock. Instead it was sent from TN. Shipping took a week and most of the leaves fell off in the box. There was a big label to open immediately and water but the store left it in the box. Luckily I picked it up the next day. Not sure if it will survive.

No, I do not recommend this product.

This plant arrived alive and healthy. The packaging was good, and a thick layer of newsprint atop the potting soil kept it moist during the shipping process. I planted it without a problem and it's growing well.
