To use it, you would need to first have the system found here- https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/petsafe-guardian-gps-dog-fence-2493080 You will need internet service to set your fence up, and would need it to make changes to your fence boundary later. You can change your fence boundary as many times as you would need, but only one fence can be saved at a time, so this would not be the solution we would recommend if you are travelling often between different properties. If you travel often between different locations, we would recommend a GPS collar that can store multiple fences. Maybe think twice before spending this amount

So initially I was so excited to be able to afford this for all three of my dogs and not just one. Setting it up and adjusting the fence boundary was a breeze. But as soon as the collar battery started to go dead and I recharged it then It started admitting a warning tone while inside of the boundary. I had to reset the collar. And this has happened basically every time one of them has to be recharged. So beware. I am probably going to go back to my other pet safe wireless containment fence that I had previous I never had any complaints about it.
No, I do not recommend this product.
