Q: Can I get extreme weather 3 flap replacement for a large size door?

Though all three flaps are not available as a set for this particular door, as they typically do not all need to be replaced at exactly the same time, all three flaps can be replaced when needed. The interior and exterior flaps can be found here- https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/petsafe-replacement-flap-medium-pac11-16939-1460311 If your interior and exterior flaps attach with five screws across the top, you would need the "Large" size in the size selection area to the right. The model number for the large insulated flap is MPA00-12819. If you have any questions about this flap, please get in touch with us. Q: can i buy a 3 flap unit for a regular large doggy door i just need the flaps?

  • A: Hello! Thank you for your question. The "regular" dog door does not have the hardware to be able to add three flaps. The complete door would need to be replaced to get the three flaps.

Pet door leading into the garage

Overall, the installation was easily completed with a battery powered jigsaw, a battery powered drill, and a battery powered driver. The only downfall I have with this product are the plastic hardware to fasten each panel to each other. I wish they would have been metal hardware. Other than that, the pet door goes from our laundry room to the garage. The pet door makes a huge difference in keeping the laundry cool and the cats can still go out into the garage.

TSC sent the wrong item however they charged for the item that was ordered. Contractor installed the item before i had an opertunity to inspect the product

Great, until it got cold. The screws pulled through on the inside. The flap holder on the outside broke clean off a few hrs later. They really arent built for a home that has 3 dogs, who are worse than our kids, running in and out all day and night long. Only had for a year.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Though these doors are sturdy, they can be damaged by force, particularly at very extreme temperatures- typically, lower than -18 F, or consistently lower than -9 F over an extended period of time. Frame broke at -45 windchill

Extreme weather door good for up to -100.....today in Wisconsin it's about -20 and -45 windchill....we have a non aggressive 60 lbs. Dog ....she walked through door gently for morning potty ...and the flap came with her ..the frame of door cracked off ...work good for 2 years....but it's not good for -100 ......just so u know...... thanks
