This Permatex Weather-strip Adhesive is a viscous liquid-contact type cement for all types of weather-stripping and general purpose bonding. The adhesive weather seal is an air-drying contact cement that allows quick bonding yet maintains enough versatility in tack to allow large areas to be spread and bonded at one time. The drying characteristics allow for repositioning parts after contact is made. The maximum strength of this automobile weather-strip adhesive is attained after all the solvent has been released. Please note that non-porous surfaces, if assembled while the adhesive is wet, will prevent the release of solvent. Consequently, the heavy-duty weather-strip adhesive will take longer to dry and develop maximum strength on these surfaces.

- Please note the waterproof weather-strip adhesive will take longer to dry and develop maximum strength if assembled on non-porous surfaces while still wet, as this prevents the release of solvent

- Directions: Clean surfaces thoroughly and use abrasives to remove any powdery mold release from new weather-stripping. Apply a thin, even film to both surfaces and allow it to dry. Apply a second thin coat of adhesive to sections of the weather-stripping not over 3 feet long and bond immediately. Avoid putting adhesive on exposed painted surfaces and always keep it tightly capped when not in use.
