The Performance Tool CAN OBDII Diagnostic Scan Tool works with most 1996 and later models, including American, European and Asian vehicles. This car diagnostic scanner supports all OBDII protocols, including newer Controller Area Network (CAN) protocols. One of the best automotive diagnostic scanners for ease of use, it features a digital display for clear readouts. The diagnostic code reader identifies Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC), then erases them and resets the OBDII system to help you finish the job.

Good simple code scanner for the money

I purchased this OBD scanner to check a code on my truck and found the O2 sensor downstream on driver side to be bad. Replaced the O2 sensor after the catalytic converter on the passenger side and cleared the code and check engine light is now off.

Read Instructions! I Erased codes several times and car would not start. Unhooked my hot battery terminal for few minutes and rehooked terminal and car started. Instructions warn not to do that Also says to plug device in while car is off. Then after you get reading turn car to on position. don't start engine. Wanted a reasonable scanner to play with before buying the more expensive scanners Serves it's purpose. Good luck

Just what I needed

The only code scanner I've owned. Did exactly what the info online and in thier booklet said it would. Have some peace of now knowing I can find diagnostic codes and fix some things for way less than a garage charges and does away with having to run to a parts store that reads codes for free but may get you purchasing parts that may not fix the problem. Nice to have something on hand that aids in overall process of engine and other auto diagnostics and correct fixes. Thank you Performance Tools and TSC!

Great device and very simple to operate. Also has multiple pages loaded with possible codes that make it easy to tell you what is wrong with your engine. I highly recommend it. And it's very affordable.
