If some of your lawn receives sun and other parts receive moderate shade, Pennington Smart Seed Sun & Shade offers the perfect mixture for Southern conditions. Designed to survive in hot, humid and harsh conditions, this sun and shade grass seed mix has excellent disease resistance and very good drought tolerance. Plus, it contains just the right amount of fertilizer to help your lawn succeed. In areas of your lawn that receive 4 to 6 hours of sun daily, plant this grass seed mix in the early spring or early fall and see results in 8 to 21 days. This 15-pound bag covers up to 3,750 square feet for overseeding an existing lawn and 1,250 square feet for starting a new lawn from scratch. What makes Smart Seed smart? 20% Seed 80% Weed

I overseeded with this product on October 5th, and the seeds did germinate fairly quickly. Some sprouts looked like grass, but other sprouts did not, but I had hoped that they would grow up to look like grass. They did not. Some of it looks like clover and other invasive weeds. Very disappointed.

No, I do not recommend this product.

So far, so good with a new lawn.

Took out the Bermuda grass and planted Tall Fescue. The lawn looks excellent; the pic is my first cut! Live in Texas, and we will see how well it stands up to the heat.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Worst grass seed ever

This has to be the worst seed in history. I planted this per instructions and nothing grew . I replanted it again this time it grew was nice and thick for about 3 weeks and then it just died . Meanwhile the spots that I planted with my 2 year old Scott's seed is thick and thriving . I would not recommend this to anyone.

No, I do not recommend this product.
