We bought this for my son to go along with his midnight black John Deere Gator XUV 550, thinking that since it is identical to the John Deere version, it would work. However, the hitch that is included to attach the trailer to the vehicle is not usable on the Gator vehicles. Will be reaching out to PegPerego to hopefully get a resolution.

Yes the car side hitch is included.

Yes it comes with car side hitch piece. I searched all kind of reviews/Peg Perego website/etc before buying to find out and couldn't, so yes the hitch part for the car is included with this trailer.
Read the text instructions as you're assembling, the pictures don't show clear detail where the washers and other small parts go into the axle assembly so I had to unbolt and reassemble it to get everything where it belonged after my dry fit working off the pictures.
