This is a very good, low cost grinder. It runs smoothly out of the box, has good power and is very stable on its large base. The tool rests are very robust and easily adjustable as are the eye shields.

First I bought the one with the multi-function drill tool. Jokes! Poor performance, would slow down the instant you touched it with material. Not this honey. She spins like a 45! I don’t know what that means because it’s before my time, but hopefully it indicates she works real nice.

Looked and looked at all the big box stores and all looked basically the same with a different name. Read all the reviews and always same complaints on reliability. Then I saw the Palmgren and appeared to be better with what I read. So I took a chance and ordered one. Sometimes you get lucky and that is what happened. This unit is built to last. Start up is fast and yes when you turn off the wheels do free spin for a long time but this is not a problem for me. Some people complain about the eye shields. They do the job. However if you do aggressive grinding I would recommend a full face shield. Unit has minimal vibration and I use without mounting to a stand as it is very solid. I like the mobility and can clamp to my work bench when necessary. Very pleased
