Nice product at a good price point

Okay, so if you shopped around for snow blades for ZTR type mower/tractors you know that you've got a rather limited number of choices. You can go hydraulic mech. or the more simpler foot operated mech. This unit uses the foot type and in the dead of winter I'd rather depend on my feet than hydraulics, hoses, motors, etc. Overall kit is well designed and more than price competitive. The parts are well made and heavy duty. I had already purchased when the question was answered that said it would NOT fit my Hustler Raptor SD however to me it looked like it would with some minor adaption. I think you would need to own one of these ZTRs to realize just how it fits. You can simply remove the two bolts that hold the front lower nameplate/foot rest to allow the two clamps to work. You could just leave it off while the plow was attached for winter or elect to use a die grinder to cut 2 vertical slits in that plate and remount it. I like the idea of just leaving those front clamp/mounts on so I can just drop the two large pins and remove everything quickly.
Performance? Well, I've had my own homemade versions on other ZTRs of this type of plow so I have high hopes for this unit. I think it will work fine. Oh, and check your box for all parts and the instruction manual.

Poor weld job and quality control
Quick delivery, however, I had to pick up the plow from the neighbor’s house as it was delivered/left on the wrong porch by UPS. After picking it up and moving it to my barn, I open it and find one of the parts with a bad weld job preventing it from fitting as it should and stopping assembly. Despite thi being a top result in my search for a ZT1 mower, the brackets do not fit on the frame. I would have to drill a whole in the frame in order to get all four bolts connected for a proper clamp onto the frame. The weld will need to be ground down in order for the pivot piece to fit into the mount. Im not sure what this will do to the weld strength. The clamps (parts 29 & 30) in step 3 could be put on the mower frame prior to step 2 making the process much easier (assuming the pieces in step 2 fit together as they should). Part 27 could be added with the cotter pin after the rest of the assembly is secured to the mower. Overall, I haven’t been able to complete the install, but not looking forward to the first use with the quality issues so far.
