Q: What is the shelf life of this product in the bag?

- A: I called Purina this morning. The answer that I got was that this product has a shelf life of 1 year from the production date. The production date can be found at the bottom of the bag usually close to the seam, but sometimes has a blue label. The date (if near the seam) starts with 1 number for the year, 3 letters for the month, then 2 numbers for the day. So if it was manufactured today the date would read 0 OCT 30.
