The rugs are much darker than they appear in the online pics and in the "View in My Room" area. I based my choice on the tone in those photos. The rugs can still work with my rooms, but I am not as happy with them as I would have been if the color would have matched the pictures.

We needed a rug for under a piano - it doesn’t really get much traffic. It looks good and it is a good value for the money.I wasn’t as happy with the superior rug pad that I bought to go with it. I could have found the same pad at a cheaper price but I ordered them together specifically because the website said their pads were designed to be slightly smaller than the rugs so as to not require trimming. I had to cut quite a bit of pad to make it fit under the rug, and this pad is pretty thick so it wasn’t the easiest project. In the end I’m satisfied with the combo but I think the pad and rug sizing could have been better,

I really like this rug which is a combination of jute and cotton. I think the addition of the cotton accounts for the softness. I did have some issues when it first arrived as it was wrapped well but because of the length, it was bent in the middle so it took a few days with books as weights to get the bumps out. Also, it took a couple of days for the smell to dissipate. Other than that, am very pleased with this purchase.

The rug smells awful, almost like it was in a damp warehouse and the fibers in the jute rug took on the smell of mildew. I tried using baking soda to alleviate the stench, but after a week it still smell awful. I’ll have to return the rug if I can’t get rid of the mildew smell.Also, do not purchase the rug pad. It’s a standard 8x10, which is larger than the rug dimensions.
