Novox Caplet is an NSAID formulated to control joint pain and inflammation caused by osteoarthritis, arthritis, hip dysplasia or surgery. It's also an effective fever reducer. Novox is available by prescription only and comes in a caplet form to be administered to your dog orally.How it Works

Novox is a non-steroidal and non-narcotic anti-inflammatory containing analgesic (pain-relieving) properties and antipyretic (fever reducing) activity, relatively equipotent to indomethacin.

Special Precautions

• Do not administer to pregnant or nursing animals or to cats.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Do not administer to dogs who have shown prior hypersensitivity to carprofen.
• Kidney and liver function tests should be performed periodically.

Overdose Information

In case of overdose, contact your closest emergency pet clinic.

Side Effects

Cyclooxygenase inhibiting NSAIDs could be correlated with renal and gastrointestinal toxicity.

Inhibition of the cyclooxygenase enzyme and decreased prostaglandin production, which form prostaglandins from arachidonic acid, may cause adverse reactions.
