I ordered this product because my cat prefers old-fashioned carpeted scratching posts over the more common (these days) sisal posts. We have an older North American brand scratching post with the plush carpet covering and assumed we'd be getting the same based on the photo in the ad. Unfortunately, the two scratching posts we received are both covered in a thin, cheap plasticky feeling "carpet." There's also no indication that you might receive a non-neutral color. We got a dark brown scratching post and a bright red one. Sadly, there were no reviews available at the time I purchased, but there are now. Apparently I'm not the only one disappointed.

IS NOT the same as this picture and very disappointed and will probably need to return it. I would attach a picture but the area below will not allow it????
