Ilex glabra 'Densa', also known as Inkberry Holly, is a broad leaved evergreen unique for its glossy green, leathery leaves. Being a female cultivar, this shrub also produces small white flowers that eventually mature into black berries if a male Inkberry is nearby. True to its name, 'Densa' naturally takes on a dense and compact form that responds well to pruning, making it a wonderful selection for tidy hedges, boarders, and even topiaries! You can expect the plant to grow to be about 3-5 ft. tall and 3-4 ft. wide.
