[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Polar vortex January 2019. Temps in my area were neg. 8. Wind chill -27. My head? In this hat? Never gave those temps a thought. This trapper hat kept my head nice and warm. Hands down. The “shag-like” side flaps were warm and comforting. I kept the smaller ear flaps up most of the time. When they were down, I heard less. I feel safer from those pesky metal corners with the bump insert. That was a nice option for this hat, especially with the zipper so it could be replaced or removed if needed. Also, being that this is not a “normal” stocking knit cap or baseball cap, it’s an attention getter. “Nice hat... Looks warm” (slight chuckling)“Very much so. It’s a bump hat too.”“Really??” (Knocks on my head)“Sure is... thanks for that, by the way.”“Wow that’s nice! Where did you get it?” “Ergodyne” I would definitely recommend this to anyone who sees those colder climates and anyone who wants that extra safety measure to protect themselves from those pesky corners and other things.
