Q&As

1 - 10 of 17 Questions

Q: can this be mounted to platform

1 Answer
  • A: Howdy neighbor! Yes, the Muddy 2-Person Blind Platform can be custom-mounted to an existing platform, but please note it is factory-engineered to be a freestanding tower system. Because any custom modifications alter the original design, doing so is done at your own risk and will void the manufacturer's warranty. For your safety, you must ensure the structural integrity of your lower platform can fully support the weight, and we always recommend consulting a professional builder or strictly adhering to Muddy's official safety guidelines to prevent accidents.

Q: what are the dimensions of the stand legs

1 Answer
  • A: Howdy neighbor! The Muddy 2-Person Blind Platform stands exactly 5 feet tall from the ground to the deck floor and features strong 2-inch by 2-inch square steel tubing legs. These legs angle outward slightly as they descend to maximize stability, ending in flat steel footplates that securely anchor to the ground using the included 24-inch heavy-duty stakes. Just remember to slide them into their welded receiver sleeves facing outward before bolting them down so your hunting blind maintains its steady, tip-resistant footprint.

Q: What is needed for assembly

1 Answer
  • AI-generated, Human-approved
A: Assembly requires a large number of bolts, washers, and nuts, which are included. You will need tools such as a wrench or ratchets to complete the setup. It is recommended to assemble the platform on a flat surface and wait until the end to tighten all bolts.

Great platform for the price

I have not yet hunted out of it, but it was reasonable to set up and seems sturdy enough. The trap door is nice because you don't have to worry about your ladder lining up with the blind door. This means you could theoretically use any type of blind on top, but be aware that the platform comes with anchor points in the corners to hold a blind in place that may limit the size of blind it can hold. I bought a 65x65 Muddy blind to go with the platform, thinking that they were by the same company and the same size, so it should fit perfectly. The Muddy blind overhangs the edge a bit, and the anchor points are a few inches offset from the corner of the platform, so it did not fit perfectly. Well enough to hunt out of, but I suspect a 60x60 blind will fit better. Anything smaller than that and you'll have to figure out another way to attach it. Assembly can be done with one person, but will be much easier with two. You'll need a socket set and a wrench. The nice thing is that all the bolt heads and nuts are all the same size. However, all the hardware comes in a single bag, so you need to be extra sure not to use the wrong length bolt in the wrong place. There are no spare parts included.

Would not recommend

Seems to be sturdy once put together. Instructions are not that clear on how to put together. I have only had it out in the woods for a week and it is already starting to rust. Would not purchase again.

Seems well-made

Haven't assembled it yet but will soon. No small hardware missing and instructions are clear so it should go ok. Note to TSC: Revamp your website. It's the slowest-loading on earth! Especially the "Search" feature, it's a pain to use and I avoid your site at all costs. You're leaving money on the table with your bloated, slow, clunky site.
