I have owned this heater for two years. I also purchased a Mr. Heater hose and filter for a 15LB propane tank. Do not buy this heater if you plan to run it off a larger propane bottle. It will only provide you with frustration. My father also purchased this same heater and has had a similar experience. It is simply not reliable.

Great heater, bad delivery.

The Big Buddy heater is great. Unfortunately, the delivery was not. I am not basing my 4 stars on that, though. I ordered this online from TSC while at work on 1/23. I selected "same day delivery " when I saw that it was an option. I received the heater on 2/4. I understand there were weather issues. That's why I wanted it and ordered it days before the snow storm. I could have picked it up at any of the big box stores but I trusted that TSC would deliver it the same day. My Tractor Supply is 4.5 miles from my house. 2 days after ordering, I got an email stating that "there was a problem with my order " and it was now scheduled for 2/1. No explanation giving. No "sorry for the inconvenience" because you lost power and it's 7° outside. Great product. I just wish I would have received it when promised. Thanks TSC! BTW, I got the one with the battery built-in forced air feature. Nice.

I have one of these as a back up for heat as my house is all electric. I use it regularly in my garage. Hooked up to a 20lb tank it runs forever. I only use it when I am in the garage.

if you like screaming, being ticked off, and out 200 bucks in total. this is the unit for you. i have bough two mr buddy heaters. both had the same results. hooking up from 20lb tank to the mr buddy heater at 99. and the mr buddy big buddy at 149.99. And the MR heater 20 lb tank line. I able to light the pilot light. but when trying to put on, pilot goes out. Im 300 dollars and and have 3 paper weights. Because i bought the units when they where actually in stock. I cant return them now. Even though they where not unboxed til last week. someone tries to plan ahead. and Sorry i didnt expect the crap not to work.
