This quality high speed Mibro 5/8 in. Silver and Deming Drill Bit is used for drilling large diameter holes in most ferrous and non ferrous metals. Not recommend for use on stainless steel

  • 135° split point tip eliminates the need for a center punch and keeps the drill bit from walking
  • 3 flats on the drill's shank insure that it is held tightly in the drill chuck
  • 3/8 in. reduced shank
  • Recommended for use with a drill press at slow speeds of 400 RPM's

Only lasted through drilling 5 holes.

Needed to drill 6 holes in 1/4” ferrous metal. Drilled 5 holes and the Bit became too dull to drill the last hole. Used cutting oil and correct speed. Ok if you only need to drill 5 holes I guess.

Low quality, improper relief angle...

The clearance angle on these is sharpened incorrectly, leading to the comments contained in this review section. The trailing edge of the drill flute was lower than the cutting edge, leading to dragging and heat build up. I sharpened mine after I tried drilling one hole and fixed the angles, but this was straight from the factory.

These bits are useless junk! They wear out before they even drill the first hole...even if you use slow speed AND use cutting oil to keep the bit cool! Don't waste your money on this inferrior junk!
