Rated 5 out of 5 by from Get your gas engine GOING..! Mechanic In A Bottle is a marvelous product. Small gasoline engines that aren’t running well or won’t start, dump existing fuel, add MIAB, choke and pull rope or pump primer until product is in the carburetor, let it set overnight, add gasoline. If the carburetor is the problem, more than likely, you won’t need a mechanic.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Seems to work Used in old 15hp outboard and lawnmower that were hard to start. Outboard runs like new, lawnmower showed some improvements. I have bought the 24oz bottle to use on an old I/O boat. Product was recommended to me by a mechanic.

What is the mixing ratio? 1 oz to ?gallons

Asked by: JuiceW
For poor running engines, 1oz to 1 gallon of fuel is the typical recommended ratio. You cannot over dose with the product, so if you have less than a gallon the 1oz dose will not cause harm the piece of equipment.

Asked by: cokie
Per the vendor: "Yes, Mechanic In A Bottle can be used in Diesel and 2 cycle applications. We make a Diesel Mechanic In A Bottle that is better suited for diesel applications but, Mechanic In A Bottle will still work fine in Diesel engines."

Where do you put it in with gas or oil

Asked by: Coconut head
Hello, Yes you can use/add Mechanic in a Bottle to gasoline and 2-cycle oil. Do not add it to automotive oil. Hope this helps.
