doesnt allow you to use lo fan in auto mode. you have to use manual mode which is only off or on with no thermostat setting. so basically useless for me.

The MasterCool MasterStat Coller Thermostat arrived on the scheduled date. The installation instructions were easy to follow. It took less than an hour to remove the old thermostat and install the new one. The price was great and I was able to extend the warranty for another two years. Works just like the original MasterCool thermostat.

I bought this thermostat for my swamp cooler and would buy it again. It was necessary to run 3 conductor thermostat wire from my hall to the roof. In my situation, routing was a little difficult but doable. I mounted the controller box on my cooler and wired it per the manual with no issues. I set the temperature to 74F. When the house hits 75, the cooler is switched on. At 72 it switches off. So it hold the house between 73 and 74. I have tried other swamp cooler thermostats which switched power within the thermostat mounted on the wall; however, they don't work well because they tend to self heat after a year or two (dirty contacts). Then they don't track the temperature well. Since this thermostat controller is remote, that can't happen. I like this design much better.
