best if you need it...

Although it is much better to have mothers milk, this milk replacer gave my kids the best start when looking at other replacers.... I went to what was affordable and lost many and couldn't kick the sickness.... ones who had the Manna pro were much healthier and stronger and were out in the Barn in no time. Nutri-drench also does wonders for them when they need it and If I ever need to have a milk replacer again... I would only use the Kid mana pro for my kids mixed with the Nutri-drench. I picked this up when a doe rejected her kid goat. I am not happy with the product instructions. NO WHERE ON THE PACKAGE DOES IT SAY, "OVERFEEDING CAUSES FLOPPY GOAT Syndrome". It should have had exact measurements based on weight. It should have said that the product is good 24 hrs once mixed and stored in fridge. It says on the back to mix 1 1/2 pints of water with one whole scoop of formula. Then that would be 24 oz... more than what a baby goat needs a day if calculating by weight. Then it says "Always mix milk replacer solution AS NEEDED for IMMEDIATE FEEDING. It does not say you can store the solution for 24 hours on the bag. As a result, those of us new to feeding goats can waste formula and may over feed. The bag instructions were too general. Please consider revising the product feeding directions.
