Malone AxisDLX Bed Extender

This is a good, versatile bed extender. It can go vertical or horizontal. I got it for hauling my 18" kayak. Compared to what you'd pay for a Thule or Yakima, it's a heckofa deal. Two minor, minor "flaws": One is that while they supply the pads to wrap the horizontal bars (as shown), they don't accommodate for the tightening screws that stick out, so the fit isn't perfect. My fear is that at highway speed they'll come undone. The other is the vertical upright bars on the end of the "goal posts". They are not padded in any way. So, the horizontal bar is padded, but the two verticals are not. This could easily scratch a hull. Easy to fix by wrapping with a towel or padding but seems like a bit of miss. But overall, really good.
