The Internal core unit for the MIAD as well as the MOE and MOE-K2 Grips is designed to hold one standard AR-15/M4 complete bolt and firing pin. *Note: The Bolt & Firing Pin Storage Core is not recommended for use with the MOE+ Grip due to its slightly smaller internal dimensions required by the rubber over-molding. Made in the USA.

The detent tab is recessed too much on the one I received so when I push it into the grip, the snap isn't nearly as tactile as the stock grip core, to the point that I don't trust that it won't fall out while firing the rifle.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I have been able to complete my collection of Magpul cores to fit the MIAD grips in my rifles, now I can take with me what ever I would like to have on the rifle and right at my fingertips, depending on the mission or the need for that outing, whether it be CLP in a bottle, extra ammo., spare batteries, and even a bolt with firing pin, because of the design and construction the parts are completely retained, they don't move around and make noise.
