Protect the structural integrity and increase the efficiency of your fireplace with the Liberty Foundry 24 x 24 in. Fireplace Fireback. Placing a fireplace fireback on the back wall of your fireplace shields masonry from 1/3 of the heat that would otherwise cause deterioration while radiating more heat and reflecting more light from the fire into the room. The stainless steel construction is lighter weight than cast iron, allowing for easier placement. The slotted base allows for adjustable installation from 65 to 90 degrees. The black painted finish on the fireplace fireback may peel or crack due to extreme heat.

    Not like cast iron, but, good heavy guage steel. Powder coat finish scratches easily. It came without the feet in the box, and I had to call the manufacturer to get them.

    the fireback itself is excellent, the only thing that would have made it better is if the legs were better made. The were extremely thin compared to the fireback. Works well and fits in nicely with our black woodstove. We bought it hoping to keep the wall behind the woodstove from getting to hot and it does the job well.
