I’ve mounted a lot of scopes over the years for myself and friends, with many different brands of rings. I have never had any of those rings be in perfect alignment like Leaupold rings are. Recently I’ve just mounted some scopes using three different sets of Leupold rings and every one was in perfect alignment. No lapping needed. This isn’t a fluke, Leupold definitely knows how to make scope rings. None of the scopes I’ve mounted with Leupold rings have slipped either. Once properly torqued the scope does not move. As for the Mark 4 rings these things are solid as a rock. You can feel the quality by just handling them and then as you torque them down theirs no question that they will not continue to preform for years to come. I’ve had other rings that were properly torqued with a torque wrench and after about eight trips to the range the scope had started walking backwards. This is unbelievably frustrating if you’ve ever experienced this. Don’t waist your time like I did by buying inferior products. I believe it’s worth the money to buy quality and assurance.
