Close to Nailing It

I really liked this hammock and In the right vehicle, it would be close to perfect. I drive a Ford Bronco and installation was a breeze. Unbox, unzip, unpack, unclip, adjust for headrests and clip back in. So easy to install, take out and reinstall. My pup was super comfy and was not showing any signs of anxiety. My challenge is getting my larger dog into the vehicle. Leaping all the way to the seat in my Bronco is a challenge requiring me to lift him. In our Outback, all is well and I imagine it will remain in the Outback.

Thanks for sharing how this hammock has worked for you and your dog, Chad. We love that it's provided such a great solution in your Outback. It's possible use of a ramp or steps could help it work well for your Bronco as well- our sister brand, PetSafe®, does have mobility aid options for larger dogs, and these might be worth considering. If you'd like to see if one of these options may be a useful solution for you, please measure from the top of the seat in your Bronco to the ground, then get in touch with our live support team here- https://www.kurgo.com/contact-us Our phone hours are Monday through Friday 8 A.M.- 7 P.M. Easy installation, great durability

Installation was super easy, just a couple quick buckles. The added security of the drawstring around the seats was a nice touch. It fit my Subaru Crosstrek great! I felt like the dogs stayed in the back well with the hammock, especially my heeler who likes to jump in the front. The hammock prevented him from coming up, which I loved. Both dogs seemed to love it. It protected my seats well from mud, dirt and hair. Just minor slippage on the sides, nothing crazy and still kept the dirt and hair contained to the hammock. It’s so easy to install and uninstall for passengers. Cleaning is super easy and the material is very durable. Has lasted well thus far without any issues. My heeler LOVES to try and rub off all the water and the hammock withstood even his craziness. The only recommendation would be to try and secure the corners a little better to the seats. They had minimal showing but this would not prevent me from using the hammock. Thanks for letting me review this, it’s a great product.

Great back seat cover

I had the opportunity to test the Kurgo Rover Car Hammock. We used it for driving to trailheads and our recent trip. Below are my thoughts. Likes Installing the seat cover is very easy. There are adjustable bands that loop under the seat to secure it. On the cover are velcro flaps for the seat belts to come through. I really like this as it seems to keep dirt off the seat underneath compared to order styles. It makes the seat belts still functional. The hammock portion coming up is rather nice keeping dirt off the floor and hopefully the dog out of the front seat. There's a zipper in the middle of the hammock, allowing it to be put down if you have someone sitting in back with the pup. Allows versatility, which I like. Dislikes The only issue I saw was the straps didn't extend long enough if the driver seat is further up. I'm short and have to move the seat up. Doing this I couldn't close the snap to create the hammock. If a dog isn't strapped in they can still get in the front seat. Always recommend seat belts for the pups to keep them in the back. Additionally, this doesn't impact the product quality but I noticed a very strong chemical smell when it was installed in the car. It did wear off after a day. Overall this is a great product and definitely recommend. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

A durable and dependable car hammock with some tricks up its sleeve

When thinking about what it looks like to be a dog parent, what comes to mind? For many, I imagine it conjures up visions of the numerous adventures you'll get to go on together and the memories that you'll build. Or perhaps you imagine the day-to-day routine that you'll develop that includes walks, trips to your local dog park, or just snuggling up to watch some tv at the end of the day. And while becoming a dog parent has been all of these things and more for me, one thing I spent far less time thinking about initially were some of the technical and logistical challenges that also come with being a dog parent. For example, owning a puppy that sheds can feel manageable, but when that little girl grows up to be 60 lbs of fur, that can quickly become a challenge to manage. So what does all of that have to do with this hammock? Well, simply put, Kurgo has found a way to create a product that solves for so many of the challenges that come with transporting your furry friend from one place to another. Have a canine friend who likes to shed? No problem. This hammock will contain that hair without issue. Need a hammock option that is compact, portable, and travels well? Again, the Kurgo Rover does all those things with ease and can be conveniently folded and placed back into its carrying zip bag when needed (aka no need to try folding a dozen different ways to get it back in its bag). The buckles and zippers are all of high quality, as is the stitching. The fabric itself does a great job of keeping any moisture, water, or "drool drips" contained and off of you seats. The fabric is also extremely abrasion resistant and it does not create any sorts of annoying rustling sounds when my dog gets up to move around. In the title for this review, I mentioned that the hammock has a few tricks up its sleeves. In this case, those take the form of the "Bench Beans" and paracord/cordkeepers on the underside of the hammock. The "Bench Beans" are wedged into the seat to lock the hammock in place and create a much cleaner look and more flush appearance between the hammock and car seat. This specific design though is great as the "Bench Beans" are extremely durable, easy to install, and don't feel like they will ever break or pop out of the seat - an issue I have encountered with other brands of car seat hammocks. When coupled with the paracord and cordkeeper, which is lassoed underneath the driver and passenger side seats before being cinched down, this setup creates an elegant and almost customized fit and feel to the hammock that I was impressed and shocked to find. Is this car hammock perfect? No, of course not. For example, I personally found that the velcro slits used to provide access to the passenger and driver side seatbelts was just "okay". It feels a bit like the receiver end of the seatbelt is popping out from the velcro (like a tight pair of pants after a holiday dinner). I would have loved to have seen them include an opening for the buckle and a separate closure (e.g., velcro, button, bungee tie) so that the hammock didn't feel as stretched/insecure at the velcro point. With that said though, this is a very minor issue I identified that may be a non-issue to others. In summary, I found this hammock to be an absolute rock star for our needs. It is durable, looks good, and is easy to remove, store, and re-install. It does everything you could ask of it when it comes to keeping your canine companion contained and safe and will keep your vehicle safe and clean as well. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

Thank you for this review, Steven! Becoming a dog dad does bring a lot of new experiences- and we're so glad one of those doesn't have to be your back seat perpetually covered in hundreds of blonde hairs. Thanks for sharing the picture of your sweet pup; we hope you both enjoy many adventures together with this new hammock!
