The bag is in three pieces thats strap together. These straps hold the bag together in a way that makes it as one pieces. Very roomy but everything is lined as a cooler. I will see how it holds up, to begin use on the recreational property.

Bought this before a long atv ride and it worked perfect!! The cooler does not leak even after the ice is long melted. So roomy and gave a little cushion for the second rider. 10/10 recommend!
