Too stretchy for my weight-bearing application

I bought this looking to lengthen an adult/kids tree swing. Even with 4 ropes suspending the swing, it stretched over a foot in length every time an adult sat on it. (The original rope that came with the swing was rock-solid and didn't stretch at all.) Obviously this is either the wrong material or the wrong strength for my application. I suppose it could be useful for a more elastic application like tying tarps or cargo down, but this is the most disappointing rope I've ever purchased.
No, I do not recommend this product.
