Q: What is the Brunell Hardness Number? What manual bolt would you recommend for cutting this chain?

  • A: This 3/8” Grade 43 chain has a working load limit of 5400 lbs. The strength is controlled during manufacturing, not the hardness. The chain is commonly cut with a hacksaw, bolt cutter, or acetylene torch.
