I've been using this meter for 2 years now and it still works and looks like new. The only things that could be better is the temperature sensor reads about 4 degrees Fahrenheit too low, the non-contact voltage meter could be more sensitive, and the clamp is too thick to test most wires in breaker panels.

Auto Off can be diabled by holding SEL then turn the function dial. And you can measure 100mA range by looping a cable and measure the loop to magnify the current signal. And yes. The display is dim under direct sunlight. But it looks great under shade. Remember it is a HVAC meter.

Had this for several months, and found it is not good for outdoor use, the readout can be unreadable at times. Also the shut off time is too short. My wish is this version had normal readout, and milliamp for AC/DC. Then it would be perfect and would pay whatever cost.

I purchased this meter a few weeks ago and hate it already. It is fine for residential work, but horrible for use in industrial elecctrical work where you need to get into uncomfortable positions. First the meter shuts off WAY TOO SOON. When you begin your measurements, the darn thing beeps and then shuts off. I've found no way to disable this. Secondly, I perform many 4-20 MA testing and the meter does not have a MA scale, just microamp (up to 200) or 40 amp. When connected to a varying 4-2- MA signal, the meter drops out causing an open loop, thus dropping out the instrumentation.
