I like the first exterior design and air fryer (convection) feature. The distance between the lower rack and top heating element is 4” so it’s great for cookies, casseroles, dinner rolls, and pizza.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This unit seems well made, and we expect long use based on our experience with Kitchen Aid products. Of course, time will ultimately tell. The various functions (toast, air fry, …) also work well, and we are pleased with this aspect. The size was perfect for us as well. The controls, however, are a little austere, given the premium aura of Kitchen Aid products. For example, the mode dial doesn’t illuminate and the display is limited to the temperature and time settings, so you must turn on sufficient kitchen lights to see if you are set to broil, bake, etc. Also, the end of cycle tone is quite faint if your kitchen has music or TV and/or you are not waiting nearby.

It worked will so I invested in a quality Kitchen Aid air fryer and was very disappointed. It's noisy, hot, food takes much longer to cook then the cheap one and it doesn't cook as well even at higher temps and longer times. I like most of my Kitchen Aid appliances but not this air fryer.
