Purchased 2 pair of these gloves. 1st pair wore a hole in less that 8 hours of wood cutting/splitting and other yard work 2nd pair wore a hole after 3 hours of wood splitting. Both pairs have holes in the same spot - between thumb and index finger; it's not the seam that ripped, it's the leather itself. Never mind the grease in the photo, once I realized the gloves were ripped, I wore them to clean up some grease fittings; it didn't contribute to the gloves failing.

Look well made and comfortable but too warm yet to give a good tryout
