K-Brovet Potassium Bromide Oral Solution is used to treat seizure disorders in dogs. It can be used in addition to therapy with other agents or as the sole anticonvulsant. K-BroVet helps reduce seizure activity, improving dogs' quality of life. In addition to potassium bromide, it contains 250 mg/mL of potassium bromide, cyanocobalamin and pyridoxine . This seizure medication for dogs is administered orally and has a butterscotch vanilla flavor for increased palatability.How it Works
K-BROVET Oral Solution is a butterscotch vanilla flavored solution containing 250 mg/mL of potassium bromide, cyanocobalamin and pyridoxine HCl.
Special Precautions
Older dogs are more likely to experience adverse effects; use with caution. Do not administer this medication to cats.

Side Effects
Side effects of K-BROVET include:
- Drowsiness (will subside after 3 weeks)
- Uncoordinated movements
- Increased urination
- Increased thirst
- Increased hunger
- Vomiting
- Anorexia
- Constipation
- Nausea with increased dosage
- Personality changes: aimless pacing, aggression/irritability, attention seeking
Storage
Store in a dry and cool environment. (59-86°F).

Potassium Bromide 250 mg/mL, cyanocobalamin, pyridoxine HCI and butterscotch vanilla flavoring.
Use as directed by your Veterinarian. For a loading dose to achieve a serum level of approximately 1 mg/mL, give 120 mg/kg PO daily for 5 days and then reduce to 30 mg/kg PO once daily. To achieve a serum level of approximately 1.5 mg/mL, give 160 mg/kg PO for 5 days and then reduce to 40 mg/kg PO once daily thereafter.
