I bought this hat about 5 months ago I wore it every day through the scorching summer and its still going strong. I have had little to no tear on the inside of the hat. absolutely love it!

Shipping was a disaster

The hat was sent in a regular bag and not a box. When I received the hat, it was as flat as a pancake. That is HORRIBLE, especially since it was ordered for my daughter to wear to prom. There was no way to fit it and the store could not replace as they did not have any.

Worth the savings!

Well, if you're a dime store wannabe cowboy on a fixed budget, this is a good buy and satisfies the need. It's not a $500 Panama straw topper but is vented on both sides for a hot day. The creases will never change because it's heavily coated and also waterproofed. Mud will wash right off and water beads up when applied. Weighs a little bit more than other non coated costing 4x the price but so what? Keep that in mind for a functional hat with traditional cattleman's crease that is economical and looks good in the saddle, the 4x4, or behind a six string and mic.

I should have paid more attention to the reviews. The hat is not straw. It is some type of plastic composite that is more a Halloween Cowboy Costume piece. It's brittle and material is not breathable. Not sure who needs a hat like that. Not this cat! Returned to store.
