Worth the savings!

Well, if you're a dime store wannabe cowboy on a fixed budget, this is a good buy and satisfies the need. It's not a $500 Panama straw topper but is vented on both sides for a hot day. The creases will never change because it's heavily coated and also waterproofed. Mud will wash right off and water beads up when applied. Weighs a little bit more than other non coated costing 4x the price but so what? Keep that in mind for a functional hat with traditional cattleman's crease that is economical and looks good in the saddle, the 4x4, or behind a six string and mic.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I should have paid more attention to the reviews. The hat is not straw. It is some type of plastic composite that is more a Halloween Cowboy Costume piece. It's brittle and material is not breathable. Not sure who needs a hat like that. Not this cat! Returned to store.

This is not a straw hat. This is a plastic hat. Halloween custom more appropriate than hard working farmer's hat.
