Q: I want to create a custom "zerk coupler". What thread is on the end of the piston? What threads are on the ends of the flex hose? Will I be able to operate without a hammer and using just my hands?

1 Answer
  • A: The manufacturer has advised the following: "Both threads sizes are 1/8 NPT for the end of piston and end of flex hose. And, you can use hand pressure but it will be limited but technically you could use the tool to do what you want to do."

Worked well!

I was a little reluctant to buy it but gambled on it anyway. It worked great on two pivot points on my newly acquired skid loader. I forced ATF through it. It’s vital to bleed all of the air out before using. Saved me a lot of labor. Quality tool, nice case included.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Easy and effective!

I purchased this today for 3 clogged zeros on our Kubota excavator. Followed the instructions and used ATF. Amazing! 50 bucks well spent!

Not quite as advertised

It's good for the fittings, some joints would probably work as it shows in videos. But.... if the joint is actually clogged you're going to need to remove the fittings, and the pin in the joint. If you use it on the fittings alone it will push out all of the crud. It looks like a 3/8 long plug was in the joint and it comes out in one piece.

Solved my "Frozen Bearing " problem immediately

I had heard about this tool being able to solve "frozen bearing" problems that weren't really frozen bearings, but impacted bearings. I figured I would try it as it was much less expensive than replacing the bearing. IT WORKED!
