Hands down the best fan I have ever purchased. Sure it's pricey. A DC motor fan might not be intuitive for some folks. I am genuinely baffled by some of these reviews. I genuinely believe that ignorant folks leaving bad reviews for wonderful, high-performance, energy-efficient fans such as these, prevent truly great designs like this from being sold in the USA. I honestly think Hunter would have to rely on importing this fan for cheap from a third-world country because the alternative is having imbeciles install it wrong, use it wrong, and blame the amazing engineering that went into creating this fan. I can't even imagine working for Hunter and reading that people don't like how this fan operates. My brother in Christ this fan will keep you chilled for a TINY FRACTION of the cost of your air conditioner unit over the long term. If you love America, want to save on your electricity, and want people to go "woah that's a nice fan" when they come into your house, you will Buy. This. Fan.

Love the fan, but I have the controller. It operates by remote only, and simple things like "adjusting the speed" are now difficult

Wimpy! I don’t like it; wish I had bought a more robust fan.

I purchased this because they said I could use a separate light control. First 2 made it through a couple days. Second 2 didn't make it through the first day .
