Amazing

Many complain that it didn’t stay on or wore through the bottom quickly. To fit that issue simply put gorilla tape on the bottom. I had a horse with a nail in the hoof in the dead of mud season. We had make sure it was very clean 24/7 and stall arrest wasn’t an option. We put a poultice pad over the area where the nail was, vet wrapped it, duct tapped it, put this wrap on (without the pad) then duct tapped that. It never got wet! Highly recommend. Don’t listen to the other reviews!

Great concept but needs much improvement

I bought two of these for a horse who had multiple abcesses in both front feet. First problem is they are next to impossible to put on a horse by yourself, second problem is the convoluted attachment process, third problem is they don’t take into account the different shapes of feet, and fourth is the nylon was already shredding by the time I got the boot on the first time. The pads don’t last but one wearing because they don’t “rebound” to their original shape and the sticky velcro tabs don’t stick to the inside of the boot as they say they will. I could have bought MANY rolls of duct tape for what I paid for these things. The inventor needs to go back to the drawing board and do some redesigning using actual horses. The idea is fantastic but the end resulting product leaves much to be desired.

Useful in a pinch but with lots of Duck Tape.

My horse had what we assumed was lamanitis and I was trying to use this as a cushion while on paddock rest. It was easy to put on and not as heavy as an Easy Ride Boot. But she continually got it off. Being a weekend I was desperate to try anything to make her feel better ( it ended up being an abscess) and we survived the weekend with boat loads of duck tape...but it wasn't the miracle I was hoping for. (PS...Easy Ride Boot was too heavy for my old girl)

Good foot wrap but keep requires soft footing

It's quite clever and one size fits all, but I think it's meant only for stall/inside use. I have a gravel drylot where I put my injured horse and a hole had worn thru at the toe within 24 hours.

Absolutely Worthless in the Real World

I have an American Paint; this thing would fit a Persian better. The cushion insert would not stay put with the included adhesive/Velcro pieces. The wrap might actually work if you kept your horse secured in a stall so he can't move about. Since I don't have a setup like that, he would loose it after a couple hours. The only way I can keep it on him is to securely Duct Tape it on him. So don't waste the money; just use Duct Tape.

I recommend this Hoof Wraps hoof bandage manufactured by MacKinnon.  This is the answer to a horsewoman's nightmare of trying to keep poultice or packing on an injured hoof.  This wrap withstood constant use during turnout for two weeks without fail.  Initial fitting was intimidating, but once properly fit, it never came loose, nor pulled off.  It was much easier to remove, doctor horses' hoof and replace.  This hoof wrap is a far better alternative.  I strongly recommend this hoof wrap.
