Lower Protein and Phosphorus, Nice Pate and My 3 Like It!

I have a cat with early stage kidney disease who primarily eats Royal Canin Renal Support E. My other two cats primarily eat Fancy Feast and they all are in their early teens. Fancy Feast has protein levels in the high 40s on a dry matter basis and its phosphorus content is greater than 1.5. My guy with early stage kidney disease likes to eat their leftovers sometimes. I have been researching canned cat foods with lower phosphorus and lower protein for my other two teenagers so everyone's Fancy Feast consumption is reduced. Looking at this product, I see a protein level of 33.9 and a phosphorus level of .76 on dry matter bases. This is alot less protein and phosphorus than Fancy Feast. This is day two of trying an can of this HIll's product. I mixed in about 1/6th of this with their regular food and all three cats like it. It's a pate that's very smooth. I add a little bit of water into their bowl along with their food, heating it all up a bit in the toaster oven as cold food can upset a cat's stomach. I'm happy to have found this product; I think it will be a good addition to the other canned they get. I wish Hill's made more canned food in pate form; my cat's don't like minced and stringy cat food.

My cats love the Savory Turkey Entree! They have been eating this for years, but it's now getting hard to find. Please keep making it.

    Love revised cans

The newly revised cans came in time. Dated 2/19. They love it. The older cans had something wrong with the flavor near the end. I have 6 cats but it only would let me put 5. My cats range from 4-12 years old.

    Yes, I recommend this product.
