It really does shut off as long as you don't lock

Very convenient to use because the trigger is easy, the mouth is wide enough to fill easily, measuring marks are clear, and the 1/2 gallon is the best combo of lightweight for me that has a great range.
The not so obvious feature, for me, is the trigger lock at the front of the trigger. I couldn't get it to stop spraying. Turns out I locked it open without knowing. Unlock the trigger and it stops spraying.
The only real criticism is I can't adjust the spray pattern.
