Side Effects

• Hypoglycemia (low drop in blood pressure) can occur in certain cats taking this drug. For this reason and many others, monitoring is essential. Hypoglycemia has been reported in about 15% of cats taking this medication.
• Appetite loss and/or nausea may also occur, but administering with a meal can prove helpful for these reactions.
• It should be well-understood that loss of appetite can be very dangerous for diabetic cats. If your diabetic cat is suddenly uninterested in eating, you should notify your veterinarian right away.
