Polyshade is a restorer's dream come true!

I'm restoring our 1886 house and I am using Polyshade for all of my wood projects, plus a few that aren't wood! Our original woodwork is a dark amber cherry, and I was worried about matching it. I am using coffee Gel Stain for my first step, then going over it with Polyshade Mission Oak in the gloss finish. It matches perfectly! I've also used it on the 1886 cast iron fireplace mantle, as well as new polyurethane molding, I just painted them a matte light orange first. Again, spectacular results! I remember my grandpa always using Minwax products, saying that you just couldn't find better wood products; 50 years later, I'm telling my grandson the same thing!

No matter how long I wait it always wipes off and the scratches are all visible again. It like never dry it seems. Also Red Mahogany isn't even close to color at all maybe black or dark brown.

Thank you for taking the time to review the Stain Marker. Since this is actual stain just in marker form, it needs to be able to penetrate the scratch in the wood. You can remove excess with a lint free cloth as whatever doesn't penetrate will remain tacky. Red Mahogany dark brown/black color when applied

Red Mahogany is actually dark brown-almost black in color when applied. Glad I used it on an area that is not easily seen.
