A pretty good little hands-free light

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this Gearwrench headlamp for about a month or so. Overall, it's a good little light. The two levels of 200 and 400 lumens provide ample illumination for walking around my barn at nighttime, and it does the job well when I'm working on equipment. I have not had the ability to get 6 hours of run time off of this light in between charges. I often use it at the 200 lumen level, but when I use it at the 400 level, it shortens the time even more. I haven't kept an exact timer on the run time of the light, but I feel like it's closer to 3 hours than to 6. I've only used the motor sensor mode of the light a few times. It takes a little getting used to. Some of it is trying to know which button you are pushing on the top of the light. I can see how this could be useful in certain applications, especially if you are trying to conserve battery power. It's also taking a bit of getting used to when the battery is running out. The way the light will flash to let you know that it's getting low is a bit annoying at times. If the red light came on to tell you that it's getting low, that might be a little better than the light flashing on/off when you're trying to use it. I usually charge the light in my car, so it's easy for me to keep track of, but I do have a little issue with the charger. If you read the instruction manual, it says that you need to use the charger that it comes with, and only that charger, for threat of a fire hazard. It's a standard looking charger. If you truly need to charge this lamp with only this charger, maybe put a GW logo on it or something so you can make sure you are using the correct one. Maybe put that on the next re-design. I find the strap to be comfortable and snug. The orange rubber cover makes the lamp easy to find, but obviously, scuffs show up on it pretty easily. I've had a few different headlamps over the years. This is a pretty good one.

Yes, I recommend this product.

DIY - Basement Remodel.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am finishing my basement. I am using the headlamp to get more light while mudding and sanding the Sheetrock. I have a few temporary lights wired in the ceiling, but don’t have near enough light to do a good job with the mudding etc. so the headlamp is a necessity. So far it is working great and provides plenty of light for my project.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great little light, nice wide field of view

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far great light. Very even wide light pattern, great for when you have to turn your head and reach something, you can still have a well illuminated area. Didnt expect to use the hands free feature, but it is actually great, especially when the light isn't always needed when your hands are tied up. Great in the garage, and in dark areas in the house where you need a wide angle of light thats consistent and clean.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great handsfree light to have for everyday use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great handsfree light for everyday use whether it’s on the job, homeowner use or recreational activities. you can easily wear the light around your head, a ball cap or a hard hat. The rechargeable light is 400 lumen and holds a charge for six hours. this is a great light if you’re into night fishing. This is a great light to keep on hand when the power goes out or any nighttime emergency. The light is also very functional if you had to crawl into any confined spaces or even get things out of the attic. The light would also be great for any mechanic to give you that extra light while keeping your hands-free. The light is very comfortable to wear and easy to turn on and off. It has an adjustable strap and is encased in a rubber housing. The light also comes with two Light brightnesses. The rechargeable headlamp is very rugged and very lightweight and built to last. Great for indoor outdoor use and in various weather conditions. The quality of this light is way better than what I have seen in big box stores. This light is a must for every homeowner, woodworker, mechanic, plumber, electrician and outdoor sportsman.

Yes, I recommend this product.
