High quality, low price

It’s a good, solid striking hammer. It has been great for helping unstick frozen rotors, calipers, and mounts. This hammer could be used consistently for years and hold up well. Easy maintenance, just wipe and store in your box.

Great versatility in a vibrant package

The dead blow hammer. A tool that most have heard of but not many own. This is the one that every one should own. From its practical zero rebound to its bright vibrant color that makes it easily visible in a cluttered toolbox. Gearwrench really hit the head on the nail with the design and characteristics of this hammer. Working in an automotive shop makes most of my other tools very dirty but it didn’t take much effort to clean the grime off of the handle. It is very sturdy in design and without a doubt will last for years to come.

Useful metalworking tool

The GEARWRENCH 40oz Dead Blow Ball Pein Hammer is a very useful tool for metalworking. It helped me to straighten out the car frame that I’m working on. I also used it to straighten fenders that were t-boned, when I got them. By using both the flat face and the peen end of this hammer, I was able to refigure the fenders to almost perfect shape. The hammer’s firm grip handle and balanced weight helps me have good striking control. This GEARWRENCH dead blow ball pein hammer is very good at resisting scarring, even with the heavy duty hammering I have been doing. I also like its bright color, which makes it easy to find in my garage.

If you need to beat on something this will do it

This gear wrench dead blow 40 oz. Hammer has a nice grip on the handle. The handle feels comfortable and very secure when swinging the hammer. Since it’s kinda heavy 40 oz. It has very good momentum behind it. It made easy work of removing a prop off a boat.
It’s easy to keep up with since the handle is orange makes it easy to see.
