1 Answer
  • A: Howdy neighbor! Sevin Insect Killer Lawn Granules are completely safe for dogs once the granules have been thoroughly watered into the lawn and the grass has allowed to dry 100%. To use them safely, keep your dogs indoors during the entire application process, water your lawn immediately afterward to dissolve the pellets, and wait approximately 1 to 2 hours for the moisture to dry before letting them back outside.

Q: Is this safe for a raised garden bed that I will use for planting vegetables and herbs? Ants have built a whole community in two of my galvanized raised beds from last year. DE didn't get rid of them.

  • AI-generated
A: Yes, these granules are safe for use in vegetable and herb gardens. They can be applied just prior to planting or after your plants have emerged to control ants and other listed pests. Q: Is it best to apply before rain or after

1 Answer
  • AI-generated
A: It is best to apply these granules when rain is not predicted for the next 24 hours. While the product should be watered in immediately after application to activate the insecticide, you should not apply it during rain or water to the point of run-off to prevent the pesticide from washing away.

Q: Is this safe for dogs and chickens? Or should I get something else?

Nothing

I bought this 6 weeks ago and spread it over my lawn and still have multitudes of bugs and chiggers. Noticed no difference at all. My yard is only 50' x 100'.

Excellent Results

Product does its job. It takes several applications but it works. I had a major infestation of grubs and after several applications it worked great. Now I apply the product every 3 months.

Just OK

Decent but not great, spread it on heavy (3 20lb bags on a 1/3 acre lot-2,000 square foot house). Seems to work fine on some insects(ants etc), not so well on others(mole crickets) even though it was applied extra heavy.
