The plastic that it comes with is thin but does the job. However the tape it comes with is a joke. Cleaned with a wet rag and soap waited 10min or so then rubbed down with rubbing alcohol waited another 10 then put tape on. 3 days later the tape is peeling and renders this item useless. Do yourself a favor and buy duct brand,that’s all I’ve ever used. Bought this because everywhere was sold out of the duct brand. What a waste of time and money

There HAS to be a better product on the market. Plastic is ultra-thin, way too easy to rip while trying to install. Double-sided tape is a joke. Hard to separate the backing. Glad I bought more than I thought I needed, as I had to use more than what is called for. If you buy this crap, be sure to have a tape gun; I had to use packing tape to seal off the rips and tears while trying to install this mess. Never again.
